After the death of his parents due to a car accident, Giovanni Bernardi, following the last wishes of his mother, goes to count Marco Anselmi; the latter reveals to him that his mother, daughter of the keeper, had been the mistress of the count’s son, before the latter was shot as a partisan. Remaining a guest in the villa, the boy is made a sign of the hostility of Denis, the count’s housekeeper, and falls in love with a strange girl, also a resident of the house. Having accepted an appointment in the greenhouse of the villa, Giovanni equivocates some of the girl’s words, attacks and kills her, and then takes his own life. Rushed to the spot, the count recalls his relationship of many years earlier with Veronique, his cousin, and understands that today’s events are a punishment for his past sins.

  1. Any chance you can re-up Carlo Ausino's DOUBLE GAME (1977)?
